Job summary

A leading fleet management company in Newcastle is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to ensure fleet reliability and safety. The role involves diagnosing and repairing HGVs, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring standards are met. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and previous HGV experience. Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience with HGVs or commercial vehicles is essential.
  • Class 1 or Class 2 licence is a requirement.

Location: Newcastle

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: Up to £17.68 per hour / £39,072 per year

About the HGV Technician Role

As a HGV Technician, you\'ll play a key role in ensuring fleet reliability, safety, and performance. Working with well-known brands including Mercedes, Iveco, and Ford, your day-to-day will include:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of HGVs and specialist vehicles
  • Conducting safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT
  • Ensuring all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards
What we are looking for in the successful HGV Technician
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles
  • Class 1 or Class 2 licence
