About the role
As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll mostly be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You'll be working with many experienced technicians and they will ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed and excel in your role. Giving you the opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career.

Location: Fenny Lock

Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week, Monday- Friday (2 week rota)

  • Working Earlyshift Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Working Lateshift week 2: 13:30 - 21:30

Salary:£31,500.00 - £44,200.00, Annual PLUS Shift Premium
  • Please note this role will attract a shift premium of 20% of the base rate, this is an additional earning of up to £6,300, Annual. This could be a potential earning of up to £50,500 (annually) with shift allowance included.
  • Overtime is a premium featured benefit, but not guaranteed

About Role
  • You'll be working on our Fleet of large HGV lorries. It will be your job to ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both VOSA and Partnership's requirements.
  • Ensuring that relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our 'O' Licence obligations and that all spare requests and time books are completed daily.
  • You'll be aware of best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, to deliver high-quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner and that the use of spare parts and consumables reflects the level of work carried out.

Essential skills you'll need
  • City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualifications
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness
