Overview

HGV Technician
Location: Market Weighton
Day shifts: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm
Salary: £18 per hour - £51,780 Basic Salary
50 - hour week - 10 hours paid at £27 per hour
Overtime paid at £27.00ph
Class 1 licence is desirable but not essential

My client is constantly investing in new technologies to ensure they work to the highest standards. Due to their outstanding success, they are now looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join their team.

About your new HGV Technician role
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify potential issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including vehicle inspections, MOT test preparation, brake repairs, and service work.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to enhance overall operational efficiency.
The successful HGV Technician will require
  • You will have an in-depth knowledge of HGV and trailers
  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential)
  • You will have industry recognised qualifications as an HGV Technician (NVQ or City & Guilds level 3).
  • You must have detailed experience as an HGV Technician and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
