HGV Technician

We are seeking outstanding HGV Technicians to join our busy HGV Workshops. Previous experience in this area is essential.

Duties:

1. Be conversant with current working methods, including:

• MOT Preparation
• Vehicle and Trailer diagnostics
• Carrying out service and maintenance of predominantly HGVs, as well as Trailers and LGVs, following depot procedures
• Experience with onsite inspections and attending breakdowns is preferable
• Complete job sheets and inspection sheets with detailed write-ups of tasks performed

Required Certification & Experience:

• Level 3 NVQ / City and Guilds 1,2,3 Qualification or equivalent in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
• Valid Driving Licence
• HGV 1 licence is preferable but not essential

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:00, with alternate Saturdays from 07:00 to 12:00 (total 47.5 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). Overtime is paid at 1.5x for hours over 47.5, including alternate Saturdays and any additional hours.

Salary:

£39,520+ per annum
