HGV Technician Needed

Company Vehicle (mobile HGV Technician position)

Location: Luton

Our client, a private independent fleet maintenance company, is seeking a Mobile/Onsite HGV Technician to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for vehicle repairs, safety inspections, and MOT preparations. We require a responsible and independent HGV mechanic who can work on various vehicles, from commercial to small vans.

Role: Mobile/Workshop HGV Technician

Hours: Monday to Friday: 6pm - 2pm one week; 2pm - 10pm the second week; Saturdays - rate

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out safety inspections
  2. Preventative maintenance checks
  3. Services
  4. Fault diagnostics
  5. MOT preparations
  6. Engine, gearbox, transmission, drive train, and clutch work
  7. Associated paperwork, reporting, and administration

Requirements:

  1. Must have a driving license
  2. Driving License Class 1 and Class 2 would be an advantage
  3. Reliable, trustworthy, literate, and able to work on your own initiative
  4. Must be flexible
  5. Previous experience is essential
  6. City & Guilds qualified or NVQ qualified in vehicle maintenance
