Qualifications

  • You must have experience as a vehicle technician with relevant qualifications.
  • Experience working on HGV's in a commercial environment is required.
  • An HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes and tire rotations.

HGV Mechanic
Location: Erith
Salary: up to £23.50 per hour plus bonus and overtime
Shifts: Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday 1pm to 9.30 pm

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client’s workshop in Erith The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models.

HGV Mechanic Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
- Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.

HGV Mechanic Requirements

- You will need to have experience as a vehicle technician and a relevant and up to date qualification. City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential
- Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGV's
- HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred
- Experience with Tail lifts is desirable
