Overview

Salary: Up to £47840 per annum broken down as £22.50 p/h based on a 40 hour week

+ £0.50p/h HGV licence bonus

x1.25 overtime rate

x2 Sundays rate

x2 Bank Holiday working plus Veolia benefits. Also the following allowance

Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday

Location: Walbrook Wharf, City of London, EC4R 3TD

What you'll be doing
  • You will be responsible for the day to day service, MOT preparation and repairs of our HGV's.
  • You will keep our HGV's safely on the road, so our street side operatives can carry out their duties for our millions of customers.
  • Responsible for carrying out routine vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs to ensure our fleet is reliable, available and safe.
  • Ensure all workshop tools, personal tools and welding equipment must be secured and where possible locked away each night. Welding and electrical equipment should be turned off and left in a safe condition when not in use.
  • Attend roadside breakdowns if required and work as part of a team.
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification.
  • Hold a HGV driving licence.
  • Supply your own comprehensive tool kit.
