At Norse Group, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join our Highways depot in Hethersett / Ketteringham, Norfolk. The role involves working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with participation in an out-of-hours rota. This position supports Norfolk Fire & Rescue, winter services, and company-owned vehicles.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for maintaining the company fleet of LGV / LCV vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired according to Operator's Licence requirements and DVSA standards. You will also prepare vehicles for annual tests, road test vehicles to certify roadworthiness, and attend breakdowns.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technician eager to develop and share their expertise within a knowledgeable team.

Job Requirements:
  • City & Guilds certificate in Motor Vehicle Craft Studies (light or heavy vehicles) or NVQ equivalent
  • Full UK Driving Licence + additional licence as required to pick up vehicles (CAT C Licence)
  • Proven experience working in a commercial workshop, servicing, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of vehicles
  • IRTEC certificate of competence in heavy vehicles mechanical/electrical (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of vehicle parts
  • Understanding of health and safety practices and ability to promote best practices
