Responsibilities

• Undertake advanced fault finding and diagnostic testing for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain electric/electronic systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics on specialist vehicles.
• Inspect and repair air conditioning systems fitted to various vehicles.

HGV Technician - Essex

Salary: £42,000 per annum, rising to £43,600

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 6am - 2.30pm, plus overtime

Location: Essex area, onsite parking, near tube station

Job Description:

Are you able to undertake advanced fault finding and diagnostic testing to enable efficient repair and maintenance of vehicles? This includes electric/electronic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, fitted to a range of specialist vehicles, especially those with lifting equipment (goods and passenger), air conditioning systems fitted to refuse and road sweepers, buses and coaches, plant and mowing machines, tractors, and vehicles carrying refuse or clinical waste products.

Requirements:

• Full Level 3 City & Guilds HGV qualifications (or equivalent) - Essential
• UK Driving Licence - Essential
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• A methodical and disciplined approach to work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
