Qualifications

  • Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements.
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection.
  • General Servicing and MOT preparation.

Job description

HGV Technician

Depot Location: Hull

Working Hours: £17.34 per hour. Week 1 = 7am - 16.30pm, Week 2 = 11am - 20.30pm (Saturday Morning 7am to 12 midday £25ph)

Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role

Financial Package: £44,000 to £46,000 Per Annum

My client, a well-established business in the HGV Industry is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician on a rotating shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
  • General Servicing and MOT preparation
  • Fault finding & diagnostics
  • Updating all required paperwork / databases
Requirements:
  • Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
  • A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage but isn't essential
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair
