Qualifications

  • Perform major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate workshop records and complete relevant documentation.

Overview

HGV Technician / Truck Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician (Grantham)

Location: Grantham

Salary: OTE £45,000 per annum plus overtime at 1.5x (Apply online only)

Hours: 40 hours per week, rotating earlies and late shifts, alternate Saturdays, additional overtime and on-call opportunities

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs to keep heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and commercial vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road
  • Perform major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles
  • Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and assist with repair planning alongside the team
  • Maintain accurate workshop records and complete relevant documentation
  • Provide emergency roadside repair support when required
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI)
  • Experience performing diagnostic and service repairs on HGVs
  • Ability to identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standards
  • Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes

Desirable

  • Experience with heavy goods vehicle diagnostics
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
