Job description

HGV Technician

Depot Location: Gateshead

Working Hours: 9pm to 8am

Shift Pattern: WK1 = Monday to Thursday; WK2 = Tuesday to Friday; WK3 = Monday & Tuesday and Thursday & Friday

Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent role

Financial Package: £22.50ph, approximately £52,000 to £55,036 per annum

My client, a well-established Truck & Trailer maintenance business, is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician for a night shift.

In this role, you will be part of an established team of HGV Technicians and will be required to:

  1. Carry out repairs highlighted during initial inspections
  2. Perform general servicing and MOT preparations
  3. Conduct fault finding and diagnostics
  4. Update all required paperwork and databases

The ideal HGV Technician will have:

  • Full industry qualifications and completed a recognised apprenticeship
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
  • A commercial licence is advantageous but not essential
