Overview

HGV Technician / Plant Mechanic: Salary: £38,000 – £48,000 per year. Hours: Days Monday – Friday with every other Saturday morning. Location: Oxford

C&B Recruitment are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / Plant Mechanic to join a well-established business in Oxford. This role offers excellent pay, weekly wages, generous holiday allowance, and long-term career opportunities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified HGV Technician, Plant Mechanic, HGV Fitter, or Heavy Vehicle Engineer looking to join a supportive workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and plant machinery
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Prepare vehicles and equipment for MOT/LOLER inspections
• Ensure high standards of safety and efficiency in the workshop

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a HGV Technician / Plant Mechanic / HGV Fitter
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Plant, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous)
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
