Job description

Our client is a well-known and reputable HGV dealership with several depots across Southeast England. Currently they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join their busy depot.

Their Oxford depot is looking for a Vehicle Technician to work alternating early/late shifts.

Duties:

  • You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
  • You'll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
  • You'll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
  • You'll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

Requirements:

  • A completed secondary vocational education.
  • An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
  • Familiarisation with developments in the automotive industry.

You will be required to provide your own tool-kit and be in possession of a valid driving licence (preferably HGV but not essential).

Shifts:

Week 1: 7:30- 16:00
