Job description

Salary £30,000 to £35,000 (dependent on experience plus fantastic bonus and opportunity for overtime)

As part of our team at Volvo, you will work with an experienced and friendly team, receiving a fantastic basic salary plus the opportunity for overtime and a quarterly bonus.

Shift Pattern on a rotational basis:

Day Shift : 07.00-15.15 Mon -Thurs and 07.00-15.30 Friday
Back Shift: 15.00-23.30 Mon -Thurs and 15.00-22.30 Friday

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGVs, or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?

  • Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
  • Assist in fault diagnosis
  • Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets
  • Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns
  • Process all relevant paperwork accurately
  • Report all vehicle defects
  • Maintain workshop facilities, equipment, and tools
  • Support the development of trainees and apprentices
