Job description

Recruit4staff is proud to represent their client, a leading HGV dealership company, in their search for an HGV Technician to work at their Oswestry facility.

For the successful HGV Technician, our client offers:

• Up to £42,454 per annum (£19.21 per hour) plus £3,745.3 standard overtime
• Rotating shift pattern: Days/Afternoons - Monday to Friday, 06:00am - 2:30pm / 1:30pm - 10:00pm
• Working 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, 8am-1pm, paid at TIME & A HALF
• Permanent role with overtime opportunities paid at time and a half after 6 months
• Benefits include company pension, life insurance, healthcare cash plan, and gym discount scheme, all after 6 months probation

The role - HGV Technician:

• Maintaining a fleet of HGVs
• Routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicle makes and trailers to VOSA standards
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults
• Attending disabled vehicles at roadside or customer premises
• Handling vehicles carefully and adhering to safety precautions
• Coordinating with parts department for parts procurement
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
• Completing job cards and service sheets promptly
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the workshop
• Attending training to stay current with product knowledge

Candidate requirements:

• Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) or proven experience in HGV repair & maintenance - ESSENTIAL
• HGV and PSV driving licenses - DESIRABLE
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience in a commercial workshop
