PSV Technician

A leading Bus/Coach company is looking for an experienced PSV Technician, or HGV Technician to join the team based at their Depots in Didcot, Oxfordshire, to carry out the following tasks on the required or relevant Company vehicles in your garage and to any new vehicles your garage may acquire.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Diagnosing and rectifying all types of PSV or HGV faults
  2. Ensuring all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that the relevant precautions are taken whilst on the premises.
  3. Ensuring health & safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
  4. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
  5. Carrying out routine maintenance on PSV vehicles
  6. MOT preparation
  7. Carrying out vehicle inspections
  8. Warranty work
  9. Keeping up to date with product knowledge
  10. Fault diagnosis using specialist equipment relevant to vehicles in your garage.
  11. Welding (gas and MIG) and gas cutting with the appropriate qualifications or training.
  12. Repairing vehicles to Company and Statutory standards.
  13. Preparing vehicles for Annual test (MOT).
  14. Carrying out the servicing of all vehicles in accordance with Company and vehicle manufacturing specifications and to Company and Statutory standards.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Required

Level 3 HGV, apprentice trained preferable.

Shift Pattern

3 week shift rota, 2 weeks 05:00-15:30 and 1 week 13:30-00:00. Also required to work 1 in every 3 weekends.

£22.15 per hour Monday-Friday, £25.47 per hour Saturday-Sunday.
