HGV Technician

Location: Shepshed

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available

Salary: GBP18.80 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers, ensuring safety and functionality.
• Complete compliance documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using EBS systems like HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE.
• Participate in ongoing training, including IRTEC, tail lift, BPW & SAF axle/brake training.
• Deliver excellent customer service within tight deadlines.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Uphold TIP values and behaviors.

Who We're Looking For:

We seek passionate, skilled candidates who excel in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Requirements include:

Essential:

• Semi-Trailer or Heavy Vehicle experience.
• Industry qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQs.

Desirable:

• HGV Class 1 driving license.
• IRTEC accreditation.
• EBS diagnostics experience (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO).
• Welding certification.
• Experience with axle manufacturers (BPW, SAF, JOST).
• Tail lift training and experience.
• Double deck or lifting deck maintenance experience.
