HGV Technician
Nuneaton, Coventry
£18.90 per hour

Alecto Recruitment is seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join their client's dynamic team. As a key member of their workshop, you will play a crucial role in ensuring their fleet of trucks and vans are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of trucks and vans in accordance with DVSA standards
  2. Diagnose faults and resolve mechanical issues efficiently using advanced diagnostic tools
  3. Ensure vehicles meet all DVSA standards and comply with health and safety regulations
  4. Stay updated with the latest DVSA and product developments to maintain the highest level of expertise
  5. Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives
  6. Provide support and guidance to apprentices
  7. Follow instructions from the Shift Supervisor, Workshop Controller, or Dealer Point Manager

Shift Patterns:

Earlies: 06:00 - 15:30
Lates: 12:30 - 22:00
Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 - 12:00


Requirements:
  1. Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Commercial Vehicles)
  2. Proven experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining LCVs and HGVs
  3. Own set of tools (tooling allowance provided)
  4. Valid, clean driving licence
  5. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Desirable:
  1. Experience working with Renault Trucks or Isuzu Trucks
  2. Familiarity with My Check or similar diagnostic systems
