Qualifications

• Experience as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, or similar.
• Possession of a minimum car/van driving licence.
• HGV licence and IRTEC Qualification are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on HGV vehicles and waste management equipment.
• Conduct scheduled inspections to maintain operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500!

Biffa Waste - Carlisle Depot

Salary: £19.22p/h

Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 15:30 / 08:00 - 15:00 rotating weekly. Overtime & Call Out available.

Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements. You will also carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa's operator's licence commitments. Our fleet ranges from light commercial vans to 44t articulated specialist assets, offering diverse learning opportunities to develop your technical skills.

We are looking for professionals with experience in roles such as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, HGV Technician, or HGV Mechanic.

Requirements

• Full Level 3 HGV / PSV apprentice qualification, City and Guilds, or NVQ Qualification
• Technician level
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence
• HGV licence (desirable)
• IRTEC Qualification (desirable)
