Job Description

We are recruiting for an HGV Technician at our Bristol site within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. The role involves repairing and maintaining our HGV fleet to meet legal and company standards, working under pressure, and actively seeking solutions to problems.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

Location: Bristol Depot (BS11 0YW)

Salary: £19.29 per hour plus premiums

• Overtime paid at x1.125 basic rate
• Saturday paid at x1.125 basic rate, Sunday at 1.5 basic rate
• Additional 14.25% uplift for unsociable hours between 6PM-4AM
• Public Holidays paid at x1.5

Shift pattern: 5 out of 7 days

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain our HGV fleet to ensure compliance with legal and company standards
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport to test centers
• Record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work carried out
• Repair minor accident damage
• Carry out fault diagnosis

Requirements

• HGV Licence C+E preferable but not essential
• Commercial experience with HGVs is essential
• Qualifications: City & Guilds Part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry
