The Challenge…

• Routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards
• Diagnose and rectify faults
• Work independently to ensure cost-effective and safe repairs to high standards
• Handle vehicles carefully, ensuring safety precautions in workshop or customer premises
• Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company safe systems of work
• Stay updated with DVSA and product developments
• Participate in training and business improvement initiatives
• Support and mentor apprentices
• Participate in site security requirements
• Complete work as directed by supervisors or managers

The day to day…

• Work on rotating shifts, 40 hours per week
• Early shift: Mon – Fri, 06:00 – 15:00
• Late shift: Mon – Thursday, 15:00 – 00:00; Friday, 15:00 – 20:00
• Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00

To succeed, you’ll need…

• City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in commercial vehicles
• A valid full driving licence
• Your own tools, with a tool allowance provided
• Experience as an efficient, neat technician with knowledge of vehicle makes, electronics, and diagnostics
• Willingness to develop skills and assist others
• Excellent customer and colleague relationship skills
• Self-motivated and proactive

You’ll really hit the ground running if you have…

• Broad understanding of commercial vehicles
• Experience with R2C
• HGV and/or forklift truck licence (not essential)
