Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver

We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Shunter Drivers to work days for our client at East Midlands Gateway. As a Shunter driver you will ensure yard movements are done correctly and support the smooth running of the operation.We have 3 shift patterns available Monday to Thursday, Tuesday to Friday and 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts. Overtime is paid after 9.6 hours on each shift.

Shift Patterns / Working Hours:
+ Monday to Thursday 6:30 to 18:30
+ Tuesday to Friday 6:30 to 18:30
+ 4on 4off 6:30am to 18:30

The successful Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver will:
+ Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
+ Have a valid tacho and DQC card
+ Previous experience preferred on a TUG
+ Have a positive can do attitude

Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver will include:
+ Moving trailers or units around the yard
+ Ensure safety of other in the yard

You will receive:
+ Days - £16.38 per hour
+ Days OT after 9.6 hours daily - £24.57 per hour
+ 5th shift paid at £24.57 for duration of the shift
