Job Description:

My client, a market leader within their field and a Great Place to Work certified business, is looking for a passionate and skilled worker who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

With time-served experience in an HGV or truck position with good technical/engineering aptitude, this could be the next step for you!

Previous experience with HGV, either as an ex-technician or in similar service advisor roles, is essential. Breakdowns will be a major part of this role, so relevant experience is required. The role involves ensuring adherence to Health & Safety regulations and some involvement in Facilities management.

Excellent customer care, communication skills, and administrative abilities are essential for this position.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9-hour days between 07:30 and 18:00.

Key Responsibilities (list is not exhaustive):

  • Diligently review maintenance repair cost estimates, raise and authorize purchase orders to external vendors.
  • Support maintenance issues involving customers and vendors.
  • Liaise with OEM technical service departments and support fault diagnosis.
  • Arrange and manage third-party work on premises.
  • Assist with parts sourcing, procurement, and ordering.
  • Analyze warranty situations and review data for fleet maintenance trends.
  • Manage key accounts, from booking scheduled maintenance to dealing with breakdowns and raising damage recharges.
  • Ensure site compliance with Health & Safety regulations and assist with Facilities management.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience with HGV, as an ex-technician or service advisor.
  • Experience with breakdowns.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Facilities management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong customer care skills.
  • Computer literacy and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
