Job summary

A leading heavy vehicle manufacturer in Falkirk is seeking an experienced Petrochemical Engineer to conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs. You will ensure the highest safety standards while working in a supportive environment with extensive training opportunities. The position offers competitive pay between £17.51 to £19.55 per hour, along with an attractive benefits package including enhanced parental leave and 28 days holiday.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Petrochemical Road tanker industry.
  • Competent with all SLP standards.
  • Carry out Health Check Tests on Road tanker.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect road tankers and rectify defective equipment.
  • Conduct required tests on road tankers.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met.

Inspection of road tankers
Detect & rectify running repairs
Qualified SLP Inspector for Liquid Fuels & LPG
Knowledge of ADR regulations
Conduct Vapour Tightness Test (VTT)

Shift Pattern – Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30 + overtime as required.

£17.51 to £19.55 per hour, plus an excellent benefits package, including:

Key Experience & Responsibilities

Relevant qualifications or proven experience within the Petrochemical Road tanker industry with minimum 5 years’ experience.

  • Competent to inspect road tankers, highlight and rectify defective equipment.
  • Competent to detect & rectify running repairs on road tankers.
  • Qualified SLP Inspector for Liquid Fuels & LPG.
  • Competent with all SLP standards.
  • Competent with ADR regulations.
  • Qualified to conduct Vapour Tightness Test (VTT) & ADR Leakproof test.
  • Carry out Health Check Tests on Road tanker.
