Job description

Overview

You will work to achieve the efficient and effective maintenance of the Council's vehicles and plant by preparing all vehicles to MOT and LGV testing station standards. You must be fully conversant with the maintenance / diagnostics and repair of LGV "O" LICENCE vehicles (7.5t up to 44t). You are to diagnose faults by road testing vehicles, visual inspections, by use of computerised diagnostic software and any other method agreed by industrial standards.

Requirements

You must hold an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in subjects relevant to vehicle and plant maintenance and have an understanding of VOSA standards and maintenance requirements with respect to operator licensing.
