HGV Mechanic opportunity

My client, a well-established transport company with depots across the UK is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Mechanic to be based out of a depot in the Widnes area to work on a full time permanent basis.
You will maintain and repair an internal fleet of over 1,000 assets, including DAF and Volvo vehicles.

HGV Mechanic Duties

• Service, maintain, and repair tractor units and trailers in line with DVSA guidelines and company procedures.
• Complete all relevant maintenance and compliance documentation to the highest standards.
• Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections, ensuring a high pass rate.
• Diagnose and rectify defects efficiently to minimize downtime

HGV Mechanic Experience Required

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician is essential, will look at time served or qualified
• Strong knowledge of vehicle roadworthiness legislation and MOT requirements.
• Looking to work a permanent Monday to Thursday nightshift
