Vacancy – HGV MECHANIC

ESS Employment Ltd are looking to employ an HGV Mechanic to work with an established client who are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Mechanic to join their friendly team. The successful applicant will be working directly under the Workshop Manager in the workshop on fleet vehicles.

Duties for the role:
• Working on a mixture of vehicles.
• Vehicle inspections.
• Trailer Inspections.
• General servicing and pre-planned maintenance.
• Reactive maintenance as required.
• MOT preparation and presentation.
• Full vehicle overhauls / engine and gear box repairs.
• Tyre work.
• Fault finding and Diagnosis.
• Breakdown recovery.
• Working to DVSA standards.

The successful candidate:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
• LGV licence C + E essential
• Able to work as part of a small team or independently.
• Capability to report correct information to colleagues.
