Job description

HGV Mechanic – Stoke-on-Trent – Permanent Role – Time-Served mechanics accepted

Salary: £22 per hour. Overtime is available and paid at a time and a half.

Shift:

  1. Monday to Friday
  2. 22:00–06:30 (flexible, e.g., 20:00–04:30)
  3. 30-minute break (unpaid)

Example OTE: (based on £22ph and working 16 hours a month overtime paid at time and a half): £52,096 PA

Silver Arrow are currently recruiting for an HGV Mechanic to work for our client based in Stoke-on-Trent on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leading company, with excellent working conditions and benefits.

Your Role:

  1. Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order and comply with repair instructions
  2. Attend training and keep abreast of the latest technical information
  3. Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out, including immediately reporting any further work required or vehicle faults
  4. Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition
  5. Provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
  6. Abide with good health and safety practices and all statutory requirements, including company policies

What we need from you:

  1. Level 3 City and Guilds in an equivalent sector (desirable)
  2. Main dealership experience is essential
  3. HGV 1 or 2 licence (desirable)
  4. You will need to have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and great communication skills
  5. Full Clean Driving Licence
