Job description

Bennet and Game are currently working with one of the UK's largest and most successful Surface & Highways Companies to source a skilled and proven Mobile HGV Mechanic / Fitter to work across their Derby location.

Our client operates in multiple sectors with complete UK-wide coverage. They have won and extended major contracts, and due to this expansion, they now require a skilled HGV Mechanic to join their team.

HGV Mechanic Position Overview

In this role, you will manage and maintain the company's mixed and specialist fleet. Responsibilities include HGV fitting duties such as brake testing, repairs, welding, and fabrication work.

You will receive specialist on-the-job training and be rewarded with excellent pay and benefits.

HGV Mechanic Position Requirements

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic
• NVQ in relevant engineering discipline - highly desirable
• Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings and late finishes, to ensure the fleet is in optimal condition
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems

HGV Mechanic Position Remuneration

• Salary: £200 - £220 per day
• Overtime: 5x Saturday, 2x Sunday
• Monday to Friday (50-hour week)
• Van + Fuel Card
