HGV Mechanic – Preston - Permanent Role – Level 3 City and Guilds qualification Essential

Salary: £43,800 Per annum, which is £20.00ph; overtime is paid in addition to salary at £30.00ph

Example: 4 on 4 off plus 1 day per week overtime = £55,320 OTE

Shift: 4 On, 4 Off, 0700–1900 (12-hour shifts)

£2500 JOINING BONUS UPON COMPLETION OF 6 MONTH PROBATION PERIOD

Newly Qualified HGV Mechanics are also considered for this role, paid at £16.00 p.h.

Silver Arrow are currently recruiting for a HGV Mechanic to work for our client based in Preston on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leading company, with excellent working conditions and benefits.

Your Role:

1. Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order and comply with repair instructions
2. Attend training and keep abreast of the latest technical information
3. Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out, including immediately reporting any further work required or vehicle faults
4. Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition
5. Provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
6. Enhance the image and reputation of the company whilst supporting its commercial interests
7. Comply with good health and safety practice, all statutory requirements, company policies and standard procedures

What we need from you:

1. Must have City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in HGV Mechanics and experience in a related sector, (trucks, agricultural for example).
2. You will have work experience within a workshop/dealership
3. Our ideal candidate will enjoy a variety of work and the challenges specially designed equipment provides.
4. The ability to work well as part of a team
5. You will need to have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and great communication skills
6. Full Clean Driving Licence
7. Will consider someone new out of an apprenticeship.
