Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HGV mechanic/technician.
  • Relevant qualifications (preferably NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 preferred).

  • Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Ensure all work is completed to DVSA standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
  • Conduct pre-MOT checks and present vehicles for MOT testing.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy goods vehicles to ensure they remain roadworthy and compliant with all relevant regulations. This role offers an excellent salary, a stable Monday-Friday shift, and a great holiday package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on a range of HGVs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Ensure all work is completed to DVSA standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
  • Conduct pre-MOT checks and present vehicles for MOT testing.
  • Work safely and adhere to company and legal health & safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an HGV mechanic/technician.
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance preferred).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 desirable but not essential).
