Maintenance Mechanic – Full Time
Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday with occasional weekend flexibility) 50hrs
About the Role
Based at our main site just outside Knighton, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and readiness of our vehicles and trailers. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Conducting routine PMI (Planned Maintenance Inspections) in line with our compliance schedule
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOTs, ensuring all standards are met ahead of testing
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Keeping maintenance records accurate and up to date
• Working closely with our Transport team to schedule inspections and repairs efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working on HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance standards and legal compliance
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Some experience or familiarity with R2C fleet maintenance software is desirable – but not essential
• A practical, can-do attitude and a strong commitment to quality and safety
