HGV Mechanic – Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire

Full time/Split Shifts: Early - 6am till 15:30pm Late: 12:30pm till 10pm

Salary: £42,000 per annum

Overtime: Paid x1.5 - Potential earnings inc overtime £50,000 per annum

Our Goole workshop team is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic / Trailer Technician to join us. The Role

As an HGV Mechanic you’ll inspect, service, maintain and repair a range of HGV truck and trailers. This will include carrying out routine maintenance and safety inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, completing repairs and replacing or adjusting components as required. You’ll also record work completed and ensure trailers are returned to a safe and roadworthy condition.

What you’ll be doing:

• Routine inspections, servicing, and PMI checks on HGV Trucks and Trailers
• Diagnosing and repairing faults across braking, suspension, electrical, and bodywork systems
• Keeping maintenance and repair work to DVSA compliance standards
• Recording work accurately so the fleet’s history stays on top of things
• Working closely with the wider team to keep vehicles moving
