HGV Mechanic
Erith
Salary: Up to £23.00 per hour OTE £52,000+ (We do not provide sponsorhip)
Shifts:10:00- 18:30 Sunday- Thursday & 13.00 to 21.30 Mon to Fri plus every other Saturday morning

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client’s workshop in Erith The successful HGV Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models.

HGV Mechanic responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

HGV Mechanic requirements:
• You will need to have experience as a vehicle technician and a relevant and up to date qualification.
• You will be a person who takes great pride in your work.
• You will have incredible attention to detail and an eye for spotting things others cannot.
• You will need a full valid UK driving licence.
• A stocked toolbox that you can use for work.

**City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential**
Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGV's
HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred
Experience with Tail lifts is desirable
