Job description

ESS Employment Ltd are looking to employ an HGV Mechanic to work with an established client in Yate. The successful applicant will be working directly under the Workshop Manager in the workshop on fleet vehicles.

Location: Yate

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: From £42,000 per annum

Type: Permanent

Working Hours:

• Summer Hours - Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:45
• Winter Hours - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45, Friday 08:00 to 15:45

Vacancy: HGV Mechanic

Duties:

• Working on a variety of vehicles
• Vehicle and trailer inspections
• General servicing and maintenance
• Reactive repairs
• MOT preparation and presentation
• Full vehicle overhauls, engine and gearbox repairs
• Tyre work
• Fault diagnosis
• Breakdown recovery
• Adhering to DVSA standards

Candidate Requirements:

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician/Mechanic/Fitter
• LGV Licence C + E
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good communication skills
