Blue Arrow HGV Driver Job Description

Blue Arrow is seeking reliable and proficient HGV Drivers to navigate local routes, collecting refuse and recycling waste on various rounds. If you're looking for a new long-term contract, please apply today!

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Drive along specified routes, collecting refuse and recycling waste in a timely manner.
2. Check routes for safety restrictions, planned roadworks, and traffic to ensure smooth and efficient journeys.
3. Complete paperwork, including documenting completed jobs and any issues encountered.
4. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues to the workshop.
5. Follow site rules and regulations, including the correct use of PPE.

Shift Times

Monday to Friday, with potential evening and weekend overtime.
AM shifts starting at 5AM, 6AM, or 7AM.
PM shift from 12:30 to 21:30.

Compensation

£16.93 per hour on weekdays, with the possibility of higher rates for weekends and overtime.

Requirements

Candidates can start once enhanced compliance checks are complete, including right to work, work references, proof of address, and proof of National Insurance Number.
