Job Description:

Our clients are looking for a Highways Operative to join their hardworking dedicated team in Cullompton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, including Patching, Resurfacing, Potholes, Drainage, Footways, and General Highway Maintenance.
  • Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
  • Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the day-to-day tasks.
  • Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.
  • Provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives where appropriate.
  • Maintain a commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
  • Undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Hold a CSCS Card.
  • Possess an HGV licence.
  • Have NRSWA certification.
  • Be prepared for Winter Works tasks.

Rate of Pay:

  • This is a PAYE position, offering accrued Holiday Pay from day one.
  • Weekly Pay with no umbrella fees or additional charges.
  • Only tax and National Insurance deductions, clearly shown on your payslip.

This is a temporary role, with potential for future permanent employment.
