HGV Highways Operative – Crediton, Crediton

Our clients are looking for a Highways Operative to join their hardworking, dedicated team in Crediton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, including Patching, Resurfacing, Potholes, Drainage, Footways, and General Highway Maintenance.
  • Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
  • Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for daily tasks.
  • Take responsibility for vehicles, plant, and materials in your charge.
  • Provide direction or supervision to less experienced operatives where appropriate.
  • Commit to Health and Safety standards.
  • Maintain good communication skills, basic literacy, and numeracy.
  • Undertake manual work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Hold a CSCS Card, HGV license, and NRSWA certification.
  • Possess experience with Winter Works.
Rate of Pay:
  • These are PAYE positions, offering accrued holiday pay from day one.
  • Weekly pay with no umbrella fees or additional charges.
  • Deductions are only for Tax and National Insurance, as shown on your payslip.

This is a temporary role, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
