Wales & West Utilities Limited is hiring HGV Grab Drivers to support our operational teams, delivering and collecting materials, signage and barriers to sites across our network. You will drive a 32 tonne grab lorry and perform backfilling and other physical tasks as needed to keep the gas flowing safely.

You will work across Wales and the southwest of England, following WWU policies, conducting vehicle inspections, and reporting defects promptly. A flexible, safety‑minded approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Cat C/CE licence and the right to work in the UK.
• Knowledge of DVSA regulations and safe driving practices.
• NPORS clamshell bucket qualification or equivalent.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and stay adaptable.
• Willing to undertake necessary training to upskill.
• Flexible mindset to meet customer/public needs while ensuring safety.

Responsabilités

• Collect and deliver materials, plant & equipment to sites safely and on time.
• Work within WWU policies and relevant legislation.
• Complete daily/weekly vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
• Maintain vehicle condition and arrange maintenance when required.
• Drive legally and observe road/site speed limits.
• Maintain clear communication with coordinators and engineers.
• Use approved equipment to ensure safety of yourself and others.
• Be proactive with site gate control and report any defects to your manager.
