Job summary

COLAS ROADS UK in Ringmer is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our Mechanical Services Team. You will perform planned maintenance and emergency repairs on the fleet, including cars, vans, and HGVs, while ensuring DVSA standards and maintaining vehicle records.

The role requires a relevant qualification, a full driving license, and the ability to work independently or in teams. Colas offers training, career development, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Qualified vehicle technician with relevant license.
• NVQ III or City & Guilds motor vehicle repair qualification.
• Experience with various makes and models of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Car, van and HGV/vehicle repairs and maintenance on company and customer fleets.
• Regular inspections and preventive maintenance to DVSA standards.
• Follow written or spoken instructions and maintain clear records.
• Maintain risk assessments with teams and communicate clearly.
• Provide on-road breakdown support and complete required paperwork.
