Job summary

Jdr Recruitment is recruiting an experienced HGV Fleet Transport Compliance Lead for a regional distribution site. You will oversee day-to-day compliance of the HGV fleet, work with a Transport Compliance Officer, and ensure tachograph data is managed and analyzed to meet regulatory standards.

The role requires hands-on experience in HGV transport compliance, driver hours regulation knowledge, and strong organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in HGV fleet compliance.
• Practical use of tachograph analysis software (e.g., TACO).
• Knowledge of drivers' hours regulations and working time requirements.
• Understanding of roadworthiness, MOTs, inspections, servicing and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain HGV fleet compliance with legal requirements.
• Manage digital tachograph data downloads, infringements and follow-up.
• Track drivers' hours and working time, address infringements and actions.
• Maintain driver compliance records, licences and qualifications.
• Ensure vehicle MOTs, inspections and servicing are scheduled and completed.
• Coordinate with garages to arrange repairs and inspections.
• Maintain vehicle compliance records including insurance and inspections.
• Support audits with external Transport Compliance Officer.
• Manage daily driver workloads and cover arrangements.
• Communicate with drivers about deliveries and vehicle issues.
• Process delivery paperwork and update systems, support invoicing.
