Job Title: HGV Fitter / Vehicle Technician
Location: Leyland
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time

Are you a skilled HGV Fitter or Vehicle Technician looking to join a dynamic team in the Plant Hire industry? We have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to maintain and inspect their fleet of commercial vehicles, primarily Scania and Volvo tippers, grab waggons, and low loaders.

Your Role:
As an HGV Fitter / Vehicle Technician, you will be at the forefront of keeping our client's fleet in prime condition. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Diagnosing and Repairing Faults: Accurately identify issues with commercial vehicles and carry out effective repairs.
2. Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections every six weeks to ensure vehicles are road-worthy and compliant.
3. Ad hoc Duties: Assist with on-road call-outs and other tasks as directed by the Workshop Manager.

What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:

1. Experience: Proven experience in the diagnosis, maintenance, servicing, and repair of commercial vehicles.
2. Technical Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and diagnostic tools.
3. Training Advantage: Previous attendance of manufacturers' training courses is highly advantageous.
4. Licences: A full UK driving licence is essential. Possession of an HGV licence is a bonus!

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings when required.
