Qualifications

• Permis de conduire HGV Class 1 (C + E) requis.
• Expérience prouvée dans un rôle similaire de LGV fitter.
• Doit avoir le droit légal de travailler au Royaume-Uni.

Responsibilities

• Effectuer l'entretien et les réparations des véhicules de la flotte.
• Assister aux pannes et participer au service d'appel en dehors des heures.
• Maintenir des dossiers de service précis conformément aux normes de licence.

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client operating in the generator hire and power solutions industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced LGV Fitter to join a busy and fast-paced Transport Department, maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the garage team, ensuring the safe and effective maintenance of LGVs, vans, land rovers, trailers, and mechanical handling equipment. The role includes attending breakdowns and participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota, for which an additional allowance is provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs to fleet vehicles and mechanical handling equipment
• Service and maintain generator and fleet trailers
• Source and purchase vehicle parts while keeping costs controlled
• Attend breakdowns as required
• Maintain accurate service records to comply with Operator Licence standards
• Deliver and collect generators and equipment using company vehicles
• Provide general yard support including loading and offloading equipment
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and general housekeeping standards
• Contribute to ongoing quality and process improvements

Skills & Experience Required

• ESSENTIAL:
• HGV Class 1 (C + E) Driving Licence
• Relevant vehicle maintenance qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds Parts I & II or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a similar LGV fitter role
• Digital Tachograph Card
• DESIRABLE:
• Driver CPC Training
• ADR Licence
• Lorry Loader Certification
