Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 and 2 Drivers for temporary and ongoing assignments across Essex. The role involves various driving tasks, including long-distance trunking and store deliveries. Successful candidates will possess a clean driving license, CPC, and tachograph card, and demonstrate reliability and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle safely.
• Able to perform vehicle inspections as per company policy.
• Confident in following delivery schedules and interacting with dispatchers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out long-distance trunking, store deliveries, or depot-to-depot work.
• Perform pre and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Report any safety issues and follow safety policies.

Job description

We are currently looking for experienced and professional HGV Class 1 and 2 Drivers to join our agency team for temporary and ongoing assignments. This role involves working with a variety of clients across the Essex area, carrying out long-distance trunking, store deliveries, or depot-to-depot work depending on the placement.

You will need:

• Clean full UK Driving Licence
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC)
• Drivers Tachograph Card
• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy, checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates:

• Up to £20 per hour
• Minimum 10 hours pay
