Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the UK seeks experienced HGV Class 1 and 2 Drivers for temporary and ongoing assignments across the Essex area. Candidates must have a clean UK Driving Licence and relevant qualification cards. You'll ensure safety during driving and complete pre and post-operation checks while following company policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence and relevant driver cards.
• Experience operating Class 1 or 2 vehicles safely is essential.
• Confident in pre and post-operation vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities

• Carry out long-distance trunking, store deliveries, or depot-to-depot work.
• Perform complete pre and post operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Report safety issues and follow delivery schedules while interacting with dispatchers.

Job description

We are currently looking for experienced and professional HGV Class 1 and 2 Drivers to join our agency team for temporary and ongoing assignments. This role involves working with a variety of clients across the Essex area, carrying out long-distance trunking, store deliveries, or depot-to-depot work depending on the placement.

You will need:

• Clean full UK Driving Licence
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC)
• Drivers Tachograph Card
• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates

• Up to 20ph
• Minimum 10hrs Pay
