Job summary

Blue Arrow is looking for reliable and experienced PM HGV Drivers to join our team for refuse and recycling collection across local routes. The role offers afternoon starts and the potential for a permanent position, providing stability and support from the Blue Arrow team.

You will drive designated routes, perform safety checks, complete logs, and maintain vehicle readiness. A valid HGV licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, plus minimum 6 months driving experience, are required.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV licence and CPC/tachograph cards required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience.
• Ability to complete compliance checks and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Drive designated routes to collect refuse and recycling waste safely and efficiently.
• Check routes for safety restrictions, roadworks and traffic updates.
• Complete job logs and incident reports as required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Adhere to site rules and PPE requirements.

Pay: £17.47 per hour (Weekdays) - Higher rates (£26.21) for weekends and overtime

Contract: Long-term, with the potential to become permanent

Blue Arrow is looking for reliable and experienced PM HGV Drivers to join our team for refuse and recycling collection across local routes. If you're seeking a stable, long-term opportunity with afternoon starts and the potential for a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive designated routes to collect refuse and recycling waste safely and efficiently.
• Check routes for safety restrictions, planned roadworks and traffic updates to ensure smooth operations.
• Complete all required paperwork, including job logs and incident reports.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Adhere to all site rules and regulations, including correct PPE usage.

Shift Details

• Monday to Friday, with potential evening and weekend overtime available.
• PM Shift: 12:30 PM start (approx.)
• Average shift length: 7.5 hours
• Overtime opportunities available where required.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Licence.
• Minimum 6 months' HGV driving experience.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ability to complete enhanced compliance checks, including Right to Work, references, proof of address and National Insurance number.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability and customer service.
