Job summary

Gi Group are recruiting Class 2 Drivers to work for a well-renowned delivery company, based in Aylesford (ME20). Twilight shift drivers are sought, with weekend availability desired.

Night shift options start between 23:59 and 01:00, and 4 twilight drivers will be needed, starting between 12:00 and 16:00. Applicants should have over 6 months’ experience, a valid Tachograph & CPC, and be able to read, write and communicate in English to meet health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Over 6 months driving experience preferred.
• Hold a valid Tachograph & CPC.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle checks.
• Trunking to HUBs and local depots.
• Secure loads.
• Deliver to customers across the UK.
• Prioritise workload to meet time commitments.
• Maintain communication with supervisor/wave controller.
• Cover 3–4 waves across the night.
• Load and unload pallets.
• Make manual entries.

Night shift drivers available also start times 23:59 – 01:00

4 x Twilight shifts drivers needed and will start between 12:00 - 16:00.

Must have over 6 months experience.

Class 2 Driver responsibilities:

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Trunking work to HUBs and local depots
• Securing loads
• Delivering safely to customers throughout the UK
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met
• Maintain good communication with the supervisor/wave controller
• Cover 3–4 waves across the night
• Load and unload pallets
• Manual entries

Class 2 Driver required skills:

• Enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual
• Good attitude to work and learn new skills
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsement codes)
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English to adhere to health and safety requirements

Pay Rates:

*Please note that pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay
