Job summary

Motus Commercials in Motherwell is hiring a Night Driver & Support Operative to join our team. You will be responsible for loading and unloading test weights, presenting vehicles for MOT, collecting and delivering customer vehicles, and keeping the yard and workshop area safe and tidy.

The role requires a HGV Class 1 licence; ADR is preferred but training can be provided. Forklift experience is advantageous and there is training available for key safety practices.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence
• ADR preferred but training can be given
• Brilliant levels of written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of local area
• Forklift licence advantageous (training available)
• Experience in a workshop or automotive environment preferred
• Strong attention to Health & Safety

Responsibilities

• Load/unload test weights using forklift/pallet truck for break testing
• Present vehicles for MOT testing
• Collect and deliver customer vehicles
• Keep workshop/yard clean, tidy and safe
• Maintain organised truck parking in the yard
• Steam clean vehicles for MOT testing
• Banksman duties (training available)
• Minor site repairs where possible
• Assist Technicians as required
