Description

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be based at our yard in Nanpean (St Austell). Your responsibilities include supporting the excavation and re-instatement teams while maintaining high Health and Safety standards.

You will work with a mate to carry out back fill and muck away activities, following HAUC and client specifications. The role requires a proactive attitude, and you may need to undertake weekly overtime and weekend work as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a HGV
• Load excavated waste and deliver materials such as ducts and backfill materials according to NRSWA standards
• Backfill trenches with sand and stone
• Support standby duties outside normal hours when needed

Experience and Qualifications

• HIAB ticket is required
• Machine operating experience is a plus
• Good knowledge of the safe operation of heavy equipment
• Experience in Utilities
• SHEA or EUSR qualifications preferred
• NRASWA certification is essential
• CPCS, ALLMI, or NPORS Lorry loader qualification is essential
• Knowledge of signing, lighting, and guarding in highways is essential
